At least 10 police officers attached to the convoy of Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, reportedly sustained injuries in an accident on Monday.
Daily Trust quoted the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), that the accident occurred when the governor was inspecting a 60-kilometer road project in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of the state.
The project is designed to connect the people of Tafawa Balewa local government to Yelwan Duguri and the environs of Alkaleri local government area.

The newspaper said a NAN correspondent who witnessed the accident, said the Toyota Hilux conveying the police officers veered off the road around 1:30pm and somersaulted twice after losing control, because of a huge dust that made visibility almost impossible.
However, no life was lost.
The police personnel involved in the accident were taken to the Bununu General Hospital in Tafawa Balewa local government for treatment.
