Eighteen finalists will be contesting in the final stage of the 2018 Miss Nigeria pageant.

According to the organisers of the pageant, the 18 contestants were selected from 40 contestants who were pre-selected from the auditions held nationwide in Lagos (West), Owerri (East) and Abuja (North) in October.

They were unveiled on Monday at an event that held at the 7 Square Restaurant in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking about the unveiling brunch and the selection of the 18 finalists, Chioma Nwigwe, the project coordinator of Miss Nigeria 2018, said: “This year’s selection though gruelling has been very rewarding. Beyond their looks, every single one of these incredible ladies brings something unique to the table and we can’t wait to see which of them wins the crown”.

Some of the celebrities and influencers present at the brunch to witness the unveiling were Don Jazzy, Mavin Records boss; Timi Dakolo, songwriter and performing artiste, Gideon Okeke, Nollywood actor; Shade Ladipo, the country director of WEConnect International; Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha, the creative director of Miss Nigeria, Mildred Ehiguese, the reigning Miss Nigeria, among others.

The celebrities and influencers present commended the efforts of the organisation in maintaining the quality of queens that have been produced by the organisation since inception.

The grand finale of Miss Nigeria 2018 is scheduled to hold at the Eko Convention Centre of the Eko Hotels and Suites on November 25, 2018.
