Some governors under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday held a secret meeting with former president, Goodluck Jonathan, in Abuja.
TheCable claimed Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, who is Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum; and Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State, were present at the meeting.
It added that no member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which Jonathan is a member of, was present.

It is unclear what the focus of their discussion was but an insider told TheCable “2023 permutations are taking shape”.
Jonathan sparked outrage when he hosted Badaru and Bagudu at his Otuoke residence, Bayelsa State, about a year ago.
He was also rumoured to have supported APC’s David Lyon to emerge as governor-elect of Bayelsa State before he was ousted by the Supreme Court and PDP’s Duoye Diri announced governor.
Jonathan, who turned 63 on Friday, is eligible to contest the 2023 presidential election, having spent only one term in office as president.
He lost his bid for a second term to President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.
