The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that President Muhammadu Buhari will participate in Bola Tinubu’s campaign in 10 states of the union, dispelling rumors that Buhari is not endorsing Tinubu’s bid for the presidency.
The President will join Tinubu’s Campaign in at least ten States, according to Festus Keyamo, the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council’s director of public affairs and chief spokesperson.
At various events where Tinubu and his team have held their campaigns, the president has not been particularly visible up until the most recent statement.
After his preferred candidate Ahmed Lawan failed to secure the party’s ticket at the party’s primary election, many have claimed that the president’s body language indicates that he is not supporting Tinubu’s presidential campaign.
On November 15, 2022, in Jos, President Buhari attended the presidential campaign’s flag-off.
However, the States where Buhari will be joining the party’s presidential campaign team includes Adamawa State on January 9, Yobe State on January 10, Sokoto State on January 16, Kwara State on January 17, Ogun State on January 25, Cross Rivers State on January 30, Nassarawa State on February 4, Katsina State on February 6, Imo State on February 14, and the Grand Finale in Lagos State on February 18.
