Festus Keyamo, a spokesman for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council, has mocked the main opposition group, PDP, claiming that the party was spreading false information that governors from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), were working to support the candidacy of Atiku Abubakar.
Mocking the main opposition party in a tweet on Friday, Keyamo said he feels sorry for those spreading rumors that some APC governors were working for Atiku.
“I feel really sorry for some who speak for the PDP; after the collapse of their campaign & the numbers not adding up for them, the only HOPE they’re giving their people is the lie that APC Govs are ‘secretly’ working for Atiku. Without attachment to APC, no hope for them! Chai!!” Keyamo wrote.
His comment comes as rumors of ethnic bias continue to spring up in the buildup to the 2023 presidential election scheduled for February 25.
