Former Enugu State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Denge Josef Umunnakwe Onoh, has said there is no crime in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu choosing “a friend” Chimaroke Nnamani as part of his presidential campaign in respect of the 2023 election.
According to Onoh, Tinubu’s relationship cuts across party lines, noting that the PDP had the opportunity of doing same but is ‘taking its founding members for granted’.
Nnamani, a chieftain of the PDP and senator representing Enugu east senatorial district, was listed as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council.
In a 422-man committee released by James Faleke, secretary, APC presidential campaign council, on Friday night, Nnamani is the 350th on the list as a member.
“If the crisis is not resolved amicably for wisdom to prevail, more shockers await PDP that would be beyond the issue of Asiwaji Tinubu incorporating Chimaroke Nnamani into his campaign council.
“Nnamani is only running for Senate under the PDP and not for the President,” Vanguard quotes Onoh as saying.
