Former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, has emerged as the presidential candidate of Labour Party ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Obi, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) last week, won the Labour Party ticket when fellow aspirant, Prof. Pat Utomi, stepped down.

The Labour Party presidential primaries held in Asaba, Delta State on Monday.

However, it wasn’t only Prof Pat Utomi that stepped down and endorsed Peter Obi.

Newsbreak.ng can authoritatively report that the incumbent National Youth Leader of Labour Party, Comr. Eragbe Anslem also stepped down from the race and declared support for Peter Obi.
