Aisha Yesufu, a top campaigner of Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has said the Obi-Datti Baba-Ahmed candidacy has received considerable support from the Northern zone of Nigeria.

Yesufu said Obi’s running mate, Datti, who hailed from Kaduna State, has been doing a great job – though not very vocal about it.

Furthermore, she disclosed that some Islamic groups endorsed Obi during the week, although she didn’t mention their names.

Meanwhile, Obi on Saturday said Nigerians remain hopeful for a national rebirth which implies returning the country to the people; farmers, teachers and students, lecturers, artisans, workers, pensioners “and over a hundred million poor Nigerians who are not sure where their next meal will come from”.

The Labour Party candidate in a tweet via his verified handle expressed his confidence that he will be voted as the next president of Nigeria next month.
