Aisha Yesufu, a top campaigner of Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has said the Obi-Datti Baba-Ahmed candidacy has received considerable support from the Northern zone of Nigeria.
Yesufu said Obi’s running mate, Datti, who hailed from Kaduna State, has been doing a great job – though not very vocal about it.
Furthermore, she disclosed that some Islamic groups endorsed Obi during the week, although she didn’t mention their names.
“We’ve reached a place where people have realised that this is not about religion but competence,” Yesufu said in a recent interview on Arise News.
