Ahead of the 2023 Presidential election, the Director of Public Affairs, Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has advised Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ) to forget about returning as president.
Newsbreak reports that Baba-Ahmed stated this via his Twitter handle on Monday, April 11, 2022, when asked his opinion on Nigerians wanting GEJ to return.
Responding to the tweet, Baba-Ahmed said, “I missed hearing most Nigerians asking PGEJ to return. I had worked with him before, and he knows that I will always tell him the truth.
“If I had to advise him, I would advise him to reach for other challenges in the service of his country. We must learn to move on in life”.

Recall that on January 7, 2022, 2023 presidential election campaign poster of Goodluck Jonathan appeared online.
The development created speculations that Jonathan is being positioned to take over from the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
The campaign poster was reportedly produced by a group known as ‘National Agenda for Goodluck Ebele Jonathan,’ judging from the inscriptions on the banner.
“GEJ Is Coming Back” was boldly inscribed on the poster, next to an image of the former president.
Jonathan was Nigeria’s president from 2010 to 2015 on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He was equally vice president of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010 under the administration of Umaru Musa Yar’Adua but became president when Yar’Adua died in 2010.
Jonathan lost to Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while seeking reelection in 2015.
