Ahead of the 2023 election, key supporters and kinsmen of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan have endorsed the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Newsbreak.ng reports that operating under the aegis of Citizens Network For Peace and Development in Nigeria (CNPDN), the coalition said it is the turn of a Nigerian president of Southern extraction and that only Tinubu has the structure to win the 2023 election among his Southern counterparts.

Tinubu, 70, is a former governor of Lagos State.

“Nigeria needs a truly visionary, competent and detribalized leader to enthrone a more united, peaceful and prosperous nation.

“As patriotic citizens, we feel obliged to take some proactive measures to ensure that the right president is elected in 2023 by providing proper information and guidance that will enable the electorate elect the right candidate as president,” Francis Okereke Wainwei, the National Secretary of the CNPDN said.
