Kingsley Moghalu, a former deputy governor of the central bank, asserts that Nigerian youths have the voting power to choose the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
Moghalu revealed this in a tweet, pointing out that the key will be whether they put in the necessary effort to choose the winner.
“Nigeria’s youth have the population to decide Nigeria’s future. The question is whether they will do what it takes. As I have always said, with nearly 70 percent of the population, our country’s future is theirs to make or mar,” Moghalu wrote.
His remarks coincide with the release of voter registration information by the Independent National Electoral Commission in advance of the 2023 presidential election. 37 million young people have registered to vote in the 2023 presidential election, according to the data.
