Daniel Bwala, a spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign on Saturday dismissed the talks that Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, would “steal” the votes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election.
Newsbreak.ng reports that according to Bwala, Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, is “on a mission to plunder” Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s southwest votes.
Tinubu is the presidential flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Bwala, Obi’s supporters are “all over” the Southwest, which is not good news for Tinubu.
“They kept saying @PeterObi would steal @OfficialPDPNig votes until they saw the Obidient Lagos rally, then they realized Pitobi is on a mission to plunder Emilokan’s (referring to Tinubu) south west votes.
“Obi’s voters are all over the south west, cities, towns and villages,” Bwala wrote on his official Twitter handle.
On Saturday, a large number of Obi’s supporters marched in Lagos, Kaduna, Edo, Akwa Ibom, and Delta states.
Reacting, the Director General DG) of the Obi- Datti Baba-Ahmed Campaign Organisation, Doyin Okupe, described the development as overwhelming.
