As the 2023 general election gathers steam, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says “more than a million” members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have decamped to the PDP in Kaduna State recently.

Newsbreak.ng reports that Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP made this claim during an interactive session with the press on Friday.

The PDP chieftain condemned Monday’s violent attack on its Presidential Campaign rally in Kaduna, Kaduna State capital by people it termed “sponsored armed hoodlums”.

“The APC is obviously hurting over the decampment of more than a million of its members to the PDP in Kaduna State in the last couple of months,” Ologunagba said.

“It is also apparent that the APC has become forlorn and disconcerted because it cannot legitimately field candidates for the 2023 general elections.

“The APC should know that resorting to thuggery and violent attack on the PDP cannot help it in its self-inflicted woes.”
