Newsbreak reports that as the 2023 election draws nearer, the 36 States and FCT Npower Representatives has said it did not endorse the candidature of Atiku Abubakar.
Atiku is the presidential candidate of Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a Twitter update on Thursday night, the Npower forum, comprising mainly Batches A and B Npower beneficiaries, said it will announce its preferred presidential candidate soon.
“DISCLAIMER_ It has come to the notice of the 36 States and FCT Npower Representatives of one write-up making rounds on the social media that the 500,000 exited Npower Beneficiaries have endorsed the candidature of the vice president Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
“This submission isn’t true and did not emanate from the noble leadership of the 500,000 exited batch A and B Npower Beneficiaries and the public should disregard it in its entirety,” the Npower representatives said.
“The over 500,000 young, vibrant and educated exited Npower Beneficiaries are keenly watching and will declare their support soonest to the presidential candidate it dims fit.
“God bless All exited Npower Beneficiaries, God bless All the Nigerian youth and God bless the federal republic of Nigeria.”
