As the 2023 election draws nearer, a prominent public commentator, Deji Adeyanju, on Monday said Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential aspirant under the platform of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), cannot come out victorious “except they both work together”.

Newsbreak reports that according to Adeyanju, “there’s no way anyone of them can win except with a strong alliance”.

“Kwankwaso and Obi can’t win except they both work together or is the goal not to defeat the twin evil of APC & PDP. This should not be a popularity contest but about winning. I have looked at the numbers, there’s no way anyone of them can win except with a strong alliance,” Adeyanju wrote on his known Twitter handle.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the PDP and its presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar, are mulling over the option of engaging Obi and Kwankwaso on how to work together to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

It is understood that the PDP was considering how to enlist their support and form a formidable team to defeat the candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu in next year’s election.
