A former Aviation Minister and Director of Special Media Projects and New Media, Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (APC), Femi Fani-Kayode says the ruling party is not worried about the Peter Obi phenomenon because “they are only going to take votes from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP”.
Newsbreak.ng reports that Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, is the presidential flag-bearer of the Labour Party.
“If anything, they (Obi and Labour Party) are taking votes from the PDP – if they are taking any at all. And I dispute that,” Fani-Kayode told BBC in a recent interview.
“So where is he (Obi) getting the votes from? So that’s why we tend to look at his whole aspiration with a sort of jocular eye.
“I tend to laugh a lot and it’s great fun to see him talking and all of them talking, and it’s energising, and I think that there is a great promise for them for the future if they can hold together, after this election, after this crushing defeat they’ll face.”
