Newsbreak reports that the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship, Paulinus Ezeokafor says Nigerians irrespective of their state of origin or religion must look inwards and consider the future of the country before casting their votes for a new President in 2023.
According to him, going by his knowledge of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), his integrity, prudence, humility, and pedigree as governor of Anambra State, makes him confident that Obi is the type of leader Nigeria needs at this critical time.
The Bishop was speaking on Sunday during his sermon at a mass to commemorate the World Sickle Cell Day at the Madonna Catholic Church, Agulu in Anambra State. He seized the opportunity to call on every adult who has not registered to do so and get his/her Voter’s Card.
Speaking on the feast of the day, the “Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ,” the cleric reminded Catholics about the fruits of the communion in their lives and urged them to remain close to Christ in the Eucharist, for their spiritual health and abundance of divine grace.
