As the 2023 elections draw near, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s former social media aide, Reno Omokri, on Monday said there is no crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
There is anxiety in the PDP over a recent meeting between Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and some governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Wike came second in the PDP presidential primary election and was snubbed by Atiku Abubakar, for the Vice-Presidential slot, despite recommendations by top stakeholders.
But reacting, Omokri dismissed the seriousness of the parley.
“As I said in my AriseTV interview, there is NO CRISIS in the PDP. Wike is much loved and knows it. Those who danced, thinking things have fallen apart, will be shamed. We are going into the 2023 election united, and with a religiously and ethically balanced ticket,” Omokri wrote on his verified Twitter handle
Meanwhile, a chieftain of the PDP in Akwa Ibom State and pioneer National Publicity Secretary of the party, Senator Anietie Okon, has called on PDP presidential flagbearer, Atiku, and the PDP family to do everything possible, and quickly, to pacify Wike and his camp.
