Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State governor, on Thursday, joined a full political machinery in the state to launch a pro-Tinubu movement named ‘South-West Agenda 2023 (SWAGA ’23).
Ikeja, the political unit of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, literally stood still for the carnival-like event, which was attended by political leaders from all divisions of the state.
SWAGA, a group led by senator Dayo Adeyeye, is a political movement building support base for Tinubu in anticipation of his interest to contest for the presidency in 2023.
Highpoint of the event was the unveiling of the pro-Tinubu movement’s logo by Sanwo-Olu and Adeyeye.
Accompanied by all members of the State Executive Council (SEC), lawmakers and members of Conference 57 to formally unveil the political group, the governor declared his total support for the group.
He promised to join hands with SWAGA’s coordinators to take the agenda beyond the South-west region and make it a national movement.
