A former Youth Leader and ex-Director of New Media of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Deji Adeyanju, says Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, who is aggrieved with the PDP’s leadership, will not throw his weight behind Peter Obi, presidential flag-bearer of the Labour Party for the 2023 election.

NEWSBREAK reports that according to Adeyanju, Wike is “too politically sophisticated to support Obi”.

When I said it several months ago that Wike is too politically sophisticated to support Obi, his supporters insulted me when they were still deceiving themselves with pictures in Port-Harcourt. Baba Obasanjo too only did popularity endorsement. Obi won’t win his Polling Unit. 1/2

“When I said it several months ago that Wike is too politically sophisticated to support Obi, his supporters insulted me when they were still deceiving themselves with pictures in Port-Harcourt. Baba Obasanjo (Olusegun) too only did popularity endorsement. Obi won’t win his Polling Unit. Obi won’t win OBJ’s Polling Unit.

“If Baba OBJ (Obasanjo) is serious about supporting Obi, he won’t just give him an empty endorsement, he will help him raise billions but he will not because he knows Peter is not going anywhere.

“As a strong member of Owners of Nigeria LTD, OBJ can raise billions for Obi,” he wrote on his known Twitter handle on Monday.
