The Presidency Friday denied a report that it suspended the State House Permanent Secretary, Jalal Arabi.
The Deputy Director (Information), Abiodun Oladunjoye, in a statement described the online report as false. He said the Secretary was also not under any probe.
“The Permanent Secretary, State House, Mr Jalal Arabi, is not on suspension as erroneously reported in some quarters.
“Mr. Arabi is at his desk dutifully attending to important state matters and is not under any probe, neither is he a subject of any enquiry.
“Also, there is absolutely no truth in the spurious allegations levelled against the Permanent Secretary and his office in the fictitious report published by an online medium,” the statement read.
Oladunjoye added that Arabi was among Muslim faithful who joined Buhari for the Juma’at prayers on Friday. He said the latter could not have attended if he was on suspension.
“I remain committed and dedicated to the professional discharge of my duties and I refuse to be distracted by adversarial forces,” he quoted Arabi as saying in his reaction to the report of his suspension.
