Taliban, today, Thursday, killed about 14 people, 12 among them security personnel, from an assault it launched on the provincial headquarters of the National Directorate of Security, in Afghanistan.
The security unit is country’s domestic intelligence service located in the southeastern city of Ghazni. Thursday attack, the second in less than a week, was executed by a bomb detonated at the gate of the Security Service by the Taliban insurgents, after which they unleashed fierce gunfire.
Ghazni Province’s deputy governor, Mohammad Ali Ahmadi, claimed15 insurgents carried out the attack, and another on neighboring buildings, which housed a unit of the intelligence service’s Quick Reaction Force and other government institutions.
