D’Tigress’ Ezinne Kalu and Evelyn Akhator have been included in the 2019 Afrobasket Women’s All-Star Five team of the tournament.
The All-Star Five team was announced on FIBA’s verified Twitter handle.
Aside from being included in the All-Star team, Kalu was also voted the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
Leia Dongue of Mozambique, Touty Gandega of Mali and Senegal’s Astou Traore, were the other three players in the team of the tournament.
D’Tigress retained their title after defeating hosts Senegal 60-55 in the final on Sunday.
It is their fourth African title after emerging champions in 2003, 2005 and 2017.
