Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has sacked Allen Sowore, Special Assistant New Media to Agboola Ajayi, his deputy, who resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday.
The sack was announced by Olusegun Ajiboye, Chief Press Secretary to the governor.
Sowore was the one who circulated the viral video of police preventing his principal from leaving the state house on Saturday night.
Akeredolu and Ajayi have not been on good terms, which finally led to the resignation of the deputy governor from the APC.
Ajayi had defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where he has indicated interest to run against the governor in October.
