A Special Offences and Domestic Violence Court in the Ikeja area of Lagos State has granted N2 million bail to Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, better known as Baba Ijesha.
The court, during the ruling on Baba Ijsha’s bail application on Thursday, asked the defendant to provide two sureties.
The court held that one of the sureties must be a blood relation, resident in Lagos, and must have a tax clearance certificate of three years preceding today.
It also said the relation must also make a monetary bond of N1 million to the chief registrar of the court.
The other surety must be a legal practitioner, whose call to bar certificate must be verified by the court.
While he was released to Babatunde Ogala, a senior advocate of Nigeria and head of his legal team, the court gave him seven days to perfect the bail conditions.
The court adjourned sitting on the matter to the 26th, 27th, and 28th of July for the prosecution to open its case against the defendant.
