Adebayo Alao-Akala former Governor of Oyo State and Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in the state has taken a swipe at the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a party, that has no sympathy for the masses.
Oludare Ogunlana, Director of Public of Alao-Akala, said the APC-led government in Oyo State has only succeeded in enriching only few people.
According to Alao-Akala : “LP has its own ideology and it can never be like the APC, a party that has no sympathy for the poor masses. Rather than make sure the people benefit from its projects, the present administration continues to empower few capitalists and thereby inflicting untold hardship on the people.”
He also denied sgning a pact with the APC, ahead of the forthcoming election, adding that the ideologies of both parties are different.
Akin Oke, Chairman of the APC in thw state in a statement issued by Olawale Sadare Oke Director of Publicity and Strategy said there was truth in the claims being made by Alao-Akala.
Oke argued : “Our great party, APC, has not and will never enter into any unwholesome pact with Alao- Akala or LP, or any other character with tainted record of service.”
