Controversial clergyman, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has spoken up after Friday night’s attack on his convoy that resulted in the death of seven persons.
Suleman said in a minute-and-fifty-second video posted to his verified Facebook profile on Friday that the assailants wanted to force him to “come out and speak” about particular topics.
The clergyman claimed that attacks on him have been ongoing since 2017, but he has continued to remain silent.
“Since 2017, there have been some events about which I have remained silent. You will not expose yourself to that many scandals, even if you are the most reckless person on the planet. Even while one or two people along the way took advantage of that to simply come out and say one or two things, there are things that people don’t know, he added.
Suleman was presumably making reference to a scandal that began in 2017 after Canadian-born Nigerian singer Stephanie Otobo made it known that she was dating the general overseer of the OFM.
Otobo claimed to have engaged in sexual encounters with Suleman in Italy and the United States during a news conference she called in 2017.
In a letter she sent to the Lagos State Police Commissioner in February 2017, she subsequently charged the pastor with unlawfully arranging an abortion for her and attempting to kill her.
Five years after making her initial accusations against Suleman, in 2022, Otobo posted a picture of the pastor’s purported ‘genitals’ on Twitter.
In the video he just published, Apostle Suleman said he would not name individuals who attacked his convoy but made reference to Otobo’s repeated accusations against him.
