Premier League clubs, Arsenal and Everton, joined millions around the world to wish Nigeria a happy 59th Independence day celebration.
Both clubs took to their verified Twitter handles to send their wishes.
Arsenal who published a picture of former player, Nwankwo Kanu, wrote:”Chei! Abeg comot for road!
“Today, Nigeria celebrates independence!
“Best wishes to you, Naija Gooners.”
While Everton, who had on their handle a picture of current player, Alex Iwobi and the quartet of Daniel Amokachi, Victor Anichebe, Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Joseph Yobo, all former players of the Toffees, wrote:”Happy Independence Day, Nigeria!”
