Arsenal are considering loaning out Jack Wilshere. The 24-year-old midfielder had endured injury-ravaged seasons at the Emirates in recent seasons. His injury woes have seen him play only 37 minutes in the ongoing 2016-17 season at Arsenal which is also thought to be responsible for his missing out on Sam Allardyce’s first squad list as England manager. With his chances of featuring in a star-studded Arsenal midfield limited, Arsene Wenger has put him on the loan list to help him get his career back on track. The Gunners already have anti Cazorla, Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey, Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny in that position.
Manager Arsene Wenger believes Wilshere still has a long-term role at the Emirates, but feels he will benefit from playing regularly. His availability will alert a host of Premier League and overseas clubs, although Wenger is not likely to sanction a move to a top-four rival. Valencia made a loan move for Wilshere in January but may no longer be interested following Gary Neville’s exit as their coach.
Arsenal defender Calum Chambers is joining Middlesbrough on a season-long loan.
