‘At 21 I’m Only Attracted To Men In Their 40s’

Hello, Love and Life, I am a 21 year old female and I am an undergraduate in one of the federal universities inNigeria.

Please, there is something that has been bothering me and the thing is I feel attracted to guys who are far older than me. I’m talking about guys in their 40s and I don’t know if it is okay.

There is nothing abnormal or awkward for you to mingle with men far older than you. It is even often insinuated that women’s husbands should be years ahead of them in order to bring a mixture of respect, experience and vibrancy between couples.
So, there is no problem for you dating older men. Older guys are quite vast and knowledgeable in a sphere of areas and an intelligent and decent guy (note: intelligent and decent) would surely help you navigate through challenges encountered and would aid your development greatly.
But you might have to watch the age difference level. I do not think you would be comfortable with a male who is 25, 30 or even 40 years older than you as your boyfriend and eventual husband.
So, you would have to put things into perspective so that you do not regret your actions. Roll with older guys but do not allow the age gap to be a very wide one.
