Deji Aderemi, veteran Nollywood actor, has alleged that all his successful female colleagues in Nigeria slept with men in the industry.

Aderemi made the comment on Thursday, while speaking with reporters at the trial of James Omiyinka, better known as Baba Ijesha, at the Lagos State Special Offences Court.

He also insinuated that Baba Ijesha, who is being tried over alleged sexual assault of the foster daughter of Nigerian comedienne, Princess, did not commit the crime.

The actor, who spoke in Yoruba, claimed that some females including Iyabo Ojo, an actress, ganged up against Baba Ijesha to send him to prison.

Adeyemi said he had tried to dissuade Ojo and others from seeking legal action over the matter but they refused.

The actor said it will never be well with all those involved in the alleged gang up against Baba Ijesha.

“There is no successful female actor that will say she has not been slept with in the industry before,” he said.

“It has now become a war. If this man (Baba Ijesha) offended them before now, say it and it will be resolved. It’s quite painful and I know the end will not be well with them.

“They turned him (Baba Ijesha) into a prisoner. Because of what? It is not like you have not all done good for one another before.

“I came to see things in court, I don’t have any explanation to give. I came to learn, to see the truth about Nigeria. To see what is left of any truth in Nigeria.

“Especially we actors, it has never happened among us, that you drag someone to court because he slept with you. I’ve never heard of it before.

“We thought it was a joke. And I called the lady, I pleaded with her, she is young among us, they they could be rich, but no respect for anyone. She said Baba, ‘It’s how well, not how far’. I told her not to try such with Dele Odule, she said Dele Odule would not try such with her.

“I said alright, let me mention what I want. I said it is not nice that you are also ganging up against Yomi Fabiyi. He is trying to make things work. ‘She said they are all the same’.

“I said okay, I want you to forget about everything. She said ‘can you listen to Baba, please stop’. You also have female children, can you allow anyone do that to them?’

“I said i was talking to her as a father and that is what I want. She just hung up on me. I’m talking about Iyabo Ojo, I never spoke to Princess. Princess is not even as vocal as Iyabo Ojo on this matter.”
