Hakeem Odumosu, Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, has maintained that bail is free.

He said this on Wednesday, during an interview on Television Continental’s morning show, ‘Your View with Morayo.’
Odumosu was asked if bail is free, as there as still compliant from members of the public about being made to pay for bail.

“Bail is free in all ramifications”, Odumosu stated.
The police boss was also confronted by a caller, who claimed that he was told by police officers to buy hand sanitizer for his personal use, after he was arrested and taken to a station for failing to wear his face mask properly while driving alone in his car.

“No member of the public should have to buy a hand sanitizer. Government has made provision for that. On the face mask issue, when somebody is inside the car, unless he is a lone passenger, or just the driver alone, but by the time two, three people are inside the car, may be the wife, children or colleague, everyone is expected to wear their face mask.

“So one is expected to wear his or her nose mask when there is another person inside the vehicle.
“But if it is the driver alone, the driver alone driving the vehicle alone, there may not be need for that,” he said.
