Armed bandits have launched attacks on three villages in Katsina within the last four days, despite the lockdown order in the state.

The villages are; Mabai in Kankara Local Government Area, Banyan Kasuwa in Dustinma LGA, and Musawa town in Musawa LGA.
This is coming despite two out of the three LGAs; Musawa and Dutsinma, being among the several councils under lockdown, due to reported Coronavirus outbreak.

A housewife, identified as Hadiza Sale, along with her two children, were reportedly abducted in Musawa town, according to Daily Trust.
The children were later released by the bandits, who escaped with her.
The report said gunmen attacked Mabai village at about midnight on Wednesday, killing one Sada Musa, while another resident, Karibu Mohamed, was hit by a stray bullet.

It was also gathered that the bandits attacked a neighbouring Katsalle village four days ago, with two persons said to have been killed.
SP Gambo Isah, spokesperson of the Katsina State police command, confirmed the attack and killing in Mabai village.

However, he said there was no casualty in Katsalle village.
