Bandits have gunned down eight farmers in Buruku and Udawa villages of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The victims were attacked while working on their farmland.
The two villages located along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway have been under constant attacks by the armed group.
Daily Trust reports that Muhammed Umar, a resident of the area and a community leader, confirmed the attacks on Saturday.
“Five farmers were killed in Buruku while three were killed in Udawa. We are tired of burying our men daily. We need help,” he said.
ASP Jalige Mohammed, spokesperson of the Kaduna State police command, also confirmed the attack.
He, however, said the command was yet to confirm the actual number of people killed.
