Gunmen suspected to be bandits, have killed a pregnant woman in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The woman, identified as Aisha Adamu, was said to be seven months pregnant before she was killed by gunmen along the Kaduna- Birnin Gwari road on Sunday.
In another development, the air platforms of the Nigeria Air Force neutralised several bandits during special operations in some parts of Birnin Gwari, Igabi, Chikun and Giwa local government areas of the state.
According to Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna, troops conducted armed missions over Sabon Birni, Albasu, Doka, Kerawa, Rikau, Galadimawa, Kidandan, Ngede Allah, Dogon Dawa, Takama, Damari, Saulawa, Yadi and adjoining settlements.
