Bandits have freed another 10 students abducted from the Bethel Baptist High School in Damishi, Kaduna State.
Joseph Hayab, Chairman of the Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), confirmed this on Sunday.
Hayab said the released students were released on Sunday.
He, however, noted that 11 others still remain in captivity.
“Ten more students of Baptist High School were released this afternoon. We have 11 now with bandits,” the Punch quoted Hayab as saying in a message.
“We are thanking all Nigerians for their prayers and support.
“We are trusting God that the rest will be released very soon. All have been reunited with their parents.”
Bandits invaded the school on 5 July and abducted about 131 students.
The kidnappers had on 25 July released 28 out of the 121 victims who were taken from their hostels.
They subsequently released 32 more students on 27 August.
On September 18, the bandits freed 10 more abducted students, leaving 21 others still in captivity.
