First City Monument Bank (FCMB), has offered to sponsor the education of a young girl found doing her homework under the light of their ATM gallery in Ondo State.
The girl, identified as Dele, was spotted by someone who went to use the ATM in Ondo Town area of the state.
She had gone to sort out her homework under the uninterrupted electricity supply at the ATM stand, due to lack of electricity at home.
The individual who noticed her then tweeted about her condition, which went viral and got the attention of the bank.
“I saw this little Dele at FCMB Bank along Yaba Road in Ondo City. She is using the ATM Gallery light to do her homework. My respect goes to her determination to make it in life. Let it go viral,” he tweeted.
The management of the bank asked Twitter users through its official account to help find her, so that she could be sponsored.
“We are inspired by Dele’s determination to study. It’s great our ATM Gallery could light her books for the evening, but we would love to do more to support. Can you please help us find Dele? Please RT until it gets to someone who knows her,” the bank replied.
Reports say the girl, who lives with her grandmother, has been located.
It was learnt that she attends Hope of Glory Academy, a private school in the state.
