BBNaija: Cooking Is WhiteMoney’s Strategy, Pere Tells Maria

The plan by Pere, the current BBNaija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ Head of House, to prevent WhiteMoney, a fellow housemate, from “monopolising” the kitchen has backfired after the housemates revolted following the prolonged hunger that walloped them.

Pere had on Wednesday barred WhiteMoney from entering the kitchen to cook, attributing the decision to the latter’s purported strategy to remain relevant in the house and not get nominated by housemates.

Although Pere subsequently appointed some persons to manage the affairs of the kitchen, the orderliness witnessed in that area of the house since the show began two weeks ago suddenly vanished as housemates became picky and chose to cook their preferred meals by themselves.

This action, however, led to the wastage and shortage of food in the house.

The quagmire hit its crescendo on Friday after Angel and one of the new housemate, Queen, engaged in a verbal war of words over food, with the former insisting that she would no longer condone such anymore.

She then decided to call a meeting among the housemates to find a solution to the issue.

Visibly disappointed by the turn of events, Pere decided to bring in new initiatives, including the introduction of rosters and sharing of noodles amongst the housemates.

The Head of House blasted his fellow housemates, especially those he assigned to manage the kitchen, for not being able to pick up from where WhiteMoney left.

He reminded other housemates they were here to play a game and subtly told them that they are allowing WhiteMoney to play his strategy freely by them not working in the kitchen.

“Some of you have forgotten why you are here… you seem to think you are on vacation.

“I put you, you and you in charge of the kitchen and none of you could take the initiative to cook,” he further added, rebuking them for what he considered as incompetence,” he said.

As the debate went back and forth, some of the housemates spoke against the HoH’s decision to bar Whitemoney from the kitchen.

According to Nini, Pere and Maria, the Deputy Head of House, who also supported the HoH’s decision, just made it obvious how important Whitemoney is.

She said: “If it is his strategy, so what, he is working hard for it.

“He is slaving for that strategy. Do you know what it means to cook every day?”

Princess and Tega also criticised the decision by the HoH to bar a fellow housemate from the kitchen.

While the debate was still raging, Whitemoney entered the kitchen to prepare food for the whole housemates, thereby ensuring that Pere’s plan fell flat like a pack of cards.

Adding his two cents to the debate, the popular house chef said the timing for the reshuffle was unplanned, adding that the HoH did not instruct any of the new kitchen appointees to meet him so that he could put them through.
