The Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) movement has released a list containing the names of 112 schoolgirls abducted by the terrorist group, Boko Haram, from Chibok in Borno State on April 14, 2014.
The list was published by the Lagos chapter of the BBOG during a sit-out in the Ikoyi to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the abduction.
A total of 276 schoolgirls were abducted from Government Secondary School in Chibok by members of the Boko Haram terrorist group on April 14, 2014.
Out of this number, 57 girls escaped within days of the abduction, four were rescued as a result of Nigerian military interventions, 21 were released in October 2016 after negotiations with their captors and a further 82 set free by the terrorist group in May 2017.
This leaves the number of girls still in captivity at 112.
