The vice-presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Bishop Isaac Idahosa, has been accused of fake prophecy by a social media user.
Idahosa is the Presiding Bishop and Senior Pastor of the God First Ministry, Lekki Light Centre, Ajah, Lagos, and running mate of NNPP’s Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
In a Direct Message (DM) shared with award-winning investigative journalist, Fisayo Soyombo, in response to his seven-part investigation into fake prophecies, the user shared her dad’s experience with Idahosa.
According to her, the “Bishop” gave a fake prophecy that her father would win a House of Representatives election which he eventually lost.
She wrote, “I am going to start by saying that I do not support my father’s political career but he is his own person and it is his money to spend as he likes. Back in 2014/2015, my dad was an active member of PDP, he was contesting for House of Representatives position. At the time we were attending a church that had around 100 members, give or take, it was the typical “the rich comes first” setting and the pastor was very fond of my dad, I’m talking dinners and home visits.
“The main issue is that the pastor was highly anointed and highly favoured by the most high” prophesied that my father would win in the elections, and my father believed him. I guess he was holding on to every morsel of hope he could find. Consequently, my father made large monetary donations and even funded some of the renovations of the Church building in an attempt to someone secure the prophecy that he had received.
One of the pentecostal #ProphetsOfTheirPockets kept prophesying that her dad would win the House of Reps election. He believed and funded the church. That was 2014-15.
Well, her dad lost the election.
Fast-forward to 2022, pastor is running mate to a presidential candidate.😂 pic.twitter.com/NLwMUZnGPp

“Needless to say, my father lost the election and a bit of his morale for a while l, which was difficult for me to witness as his daughter. Sha fast forward to the present, my family no longer attend the church (we stopped going shortly after the elections), the pastor’s ministry grew exponentially and now, he is the running mate of a presidential candidate in the 2023 elections (that should give you a bit of an idea who he is lol).
Newsbreak Nigeria ran a check on all presidential candidates and their running mates and found only Bishop Idahosa as the pastor of a presidential candidate.
