Comedian and actor, Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has blamed lack of financial support from the private sector for the production of low quality movies in the country. He said the industry needs people who are willing to come out to help without bias. He said the few investors in the movie industry were interested in helping based on friendship rather than the quality of the movie contents. He lauded the Lekki Gardens for supporting his last movie, 30 Days in Atlanta, saying it supported his initiative. The movie went ahead to make about N100 million a few months after its release in 2014. The ace comedian is working on another film, ‘Akpors in Jamaica’.
