Desmond Yunana, an Anglican Church reverend in Borno state, has said Abubakar Sheaku, Boko Haram leader, is critically ill and wants prayers from Nigerians.
The cleric told his congregation during a sermon that he saw a revelation that the terror leader is ill and in need of prayers from residents of Maiduguri, the state capital, The Cable reports.
He added that he is ready to ask for forgiveness.
Mohammed Adam, a captured teenage fighter, had told the army about a month ago that Shekau was badly injured after an aerial bombardment of the terrorists’ camps. He revealed that the terrorist cannot walk properly anymore.
