Nigerian soldiers have killed 10 terrorist who attacked a Military base in Geidam, Borno State last week. Many of the terrorists were reportedly injured in the ambush laid for them by the Army. The terrorists were said to have been waylaid while returning from an attack on Gajiram near Ngollom village.
The Troops also arrested one Abacha Kumjo, a suspected Boko Haram fuel and logistics supplier who concealed 20liters of petrol while trying to cross from Munguno into a terrorist camp. The suspect is said to be under interrogation by the military.
The Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Sani Usman, also pleaded with the citizens to cooperate with the troops in the foght against insurgency. He urged them to report any suspected persons to the appropriate authority.
“It is pertinent to once more reiterate the call on the public to cooperate with security agencies, be more security conscious and report suspected persons or unusual movements to the security agencies.
“The fight against terrorism and insurgency is a collective responsibility of all well meaning citizens. We should not allow these criminals to succeed in thwarting our collective efforts of peaceful coexistence.”
