Drambi Vandi, the policeman who shot and killed Bolanle Raheem, a Nigerian lawyer, on Christmas Day, has been placed in custody at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility until January 30, 2023.
Announcing the development in a tweet on Friday, the spokesperson for Lagos Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, detailed that the killer cop was arraigned in court on Friday Morning and was sent to Ikoyi Correctional Centre till January 30, 2023.
Hundeyin indicated that the court made the decision to allow for DPP advice.
“Drambi Vandi was, this morning, arraigned in court and has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre till January 30, 2023 to give room for DPP advice,” Hundeyin wrote.
Already, the Police Service Commission (PSC) on Thursday approved the immediate suspension of ASP Vandi for shooting and killing Ms Raheem.
