Twenty people died and another 90 were wounded by a blast that occurred inside a mosque in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state on Monday, NEMA said. The blast came a day after the army fought Boko Haram militants west in the northern state capital. There are strong suspicions the Boko Haram sect are behind the bomb attack. Arab news quoted on Musa Abdukadir, a resident, as claimed he counted 50 dead bodies brought into the state specialist hospital in Maiduguri and that medics told him more bodies had been brought to two other hospitals.
