The Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) has announced plans to hold the maiden edition of The Nigerian Broadcasting Awards (TNBA) by unveiling the logo for the event.
Speaking at a media briefing on Tuesday in Lagos, John Ugbe, chairman of the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria and chief executive officer at MultiChoice Nigeria noted that the TNBA awards scheduled to hold in October is to recognize excellence in the broadcast media industry.

He said, “The Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria having noted the need to motivate media practioners responsible for daily information dissemination, public enlightenment and entertainment, has decided to recognise and reward them for their works of excellence.
“BON is therefore organising The Nigerian Broadcasting Awards (TNBA) to recognise and reward excellence in the Broadcastr Media industry”.

Newsbreak.ng reports that the Nigerian Broadcasting Awards (TNBA) is organised by the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON).
The aim of the awards is to recognise and reward excellence in the industry, distinguish achievements and meritorious service in Broadcasting, amongst others.

Also, the Nigerian Broadcasting Awards is headed by an Award Steering Committee drawn from public and private broadcast media houses led by Guy Murray-Bruce, President of Silverbirds group.
Members include Bayo Awosemo of Arise Television as Vice-Chairman, Okpanachi Stephen Moses of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA); Channels TV’s Deji Balogun; Patrick Ugbe of HIT FM; Mrs. Chinyere Ukaegbu of Abuja Broadcasting Corporation; Dr. Andah David Angbazo of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN); Dr. Busola Tejumola of MultiChoice; Mrs. Oladeinde Modupe of DAAR Communications Plc; Malam Ibrahim Ismaila Ahmed of KSMC; Dr. Yemisi Bamgbose as ex-officio and Umar Usman Bello as secretary of the committee.
