Chelsea’s billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich has sacked the team’s manager, Jose Mourinho. The sacking came after a meeting by the board after the defending champions were beaten by league leaders, Leicester City on Monday. He had been under pressure after his team slumped to its ninth defeat of the 2015/16 season. News of a dressing room rift among players had shown the Portuguese tactician had lost control of the team. Guus Hiddink has been announced as the interim manager.
