Veteran jùjú musician, Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi on Saturday performed live at the 50th Anniversary of Abeokuta Club, a social club on the Presidential Boulevard in the city.
Newsbreak.ng reports that Obey’s performance at the event in Ogun State is coming just eight days after he lost one of his children, Olayinka Olalekan Obey-Fabiyi.
Olayinka died on Friday, 29th of July, and was interred the following day.
The octogenarian had revealed that despite the efforts he made to help his late son, Olayinka, to ‘fight his weaknesses’, he did not succeed.
His son, 48, was believed to have died of drug and alcohol addiction.
But in the face of grief, the respected juju musician graced the Abeokuta Club function and appeared in a normal mood.
He beamed when Olusegun Osoba, a former Ogun State Governor, entered the venue of the event.
