Abubakar Tsav, former Lagos State commissioner of police and member of Norther Elders Forum (NEF), board of trustees, has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a president that does not exist to most Nigerians.
Tsav in an interview with Daily Sun, said he supports the notion that Buhari is too anonymous, that Nigerians go as far as questioning his existence.
There has been claims that cabals are the ones running the affairs of the country.
The claim was supported by a December 9, 2019, letter by Babagana Monguno, the National Security Adviser (NSA), who specifically identified the chief of staff to the president, Abba Kyari, as the major force running Buhari’s administration.
Monguno in his letter, accused Kyari of seriously influencing the president, and even giving out directives to service chiefs without Buhari’s knowledge or approval.
He described Kyari’s interference on national security matters as “undue and dangerous.”
Tsav noted that Buhari is not to blame for his administration’s woeful performance, but his inability to take charge of his own government has made him a culprit as well.
He said: “What is bothering Nigerians is that he (Buhari) is not saying anything, he’s very quiet and people think that he doesn’t even exist.”
