President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met with Abdulrasheed Bawa, the new Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The closed-door meeting held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, a day after Bawa’s nomination by the President to lead the anti-graft agency was confirmed by the Senate.
Abubakar Malami, Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), joined the meeting minutes after it commenced.
The purpose of the meeting was not disclosed to journalists, but it might not be unconnected with the discussion of Bawa’s mandate as the new EFCC boss.
